iConvention

During PAX Prime, 2010, there were some pretty cool “event tracking” apps available for Android. One of the apps happened to be catered specifically for PAX Prime 2010; the design allowed attendees to view all of the events, locations, maps, etc which were availableffor the aforementioned convention. Unfortunately, there were no ports of this app to iPhone – which was a problem.

Spawning out of an immediate need to track convention details, I rapidly prototyped and developed iConvention in a matter of days. It was successfully released just 3 days prior to the PAX Prime 2010 event and provided me with a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate rapid development techniques. iConvention was, hands down, one of my most successful apps. Although specifically catered to a single convention – the original plan was to generalize the model and use it for any event.
